Question:
“As the champion of HCSS Products, what can I do during these times?“
HCSS Senior Implementer says:
Construction companies are in a strange scenario – Office personnel are trying to practice social distancing, while field crews are still necessary on job sites to operate “as normal.”
Do you remember that routine you had when everything was done at the office?
Yep, throw that away.
You need to come up with another process, and unfortunately very few have any experience with this. Some employees just can’t do what they normally would have done in the past, and some of our daily processes that involved a physical presence may be inefficient. So how do we combat this? Do we just tell our people to sit and wait for life to return to normal? We have to consider, for now, that this is the new normal.
If you can work remotely, and maintain the same business processes, that is great! If you need any assistance for best practices of working remotely, HCSS can help. Over the past decade, we have been through a few disastrous weather events that have prepared us to make quick changes, and adapt our business to a geographically scattered personnel. Send your HCSS contact an e-mail, or call our technical support if you need any help 800-444-3196.
For those companies that may have employees with “idle hands”, this is the perfect time to think about improvement. Don’t turn on CNN or FOX News. Turn on the HCSS ACADEMY!!! The HCSS Academy has many videos that can help your team learn new tricks, shortcuts, and features in the system that you could put into place right now. Not only will this fill any downtime for employees, but it will increase their value in their field of expertise.
