As you increase your use of HCSS products, you will eliminate more of what is unknown about the work that you do and the resources you use. Your data will build into something you can rely on for important snap decisions, and the best part is that the reports are based on facts about your jobs. If your shop is using Equipment360 to track the cost of repairing an excavator damaged on the job site, your project manager or engineer can bring those costs into HeavyJob. With that information, you can create reports and track your cost without needing to sit in a meeting or interact with your equipment department.
This tiny yet mighty feature was requested by HCSS users, and is available in the 2020.0.2 version of the desktop software. To access this feature, navigate to the Exchange Menu, and select the drop-down options under E360 (Exchange> Software Integration > E360).
Revision: To setup the damage cost to send to HeavyJob you will need to use work order tags in Equipment360 and use that tag when importing, or it will bring in all equipment cost for that particular job site. Fleet support can show you how to use work order tags or you can read more about them here: Setup | Apply.
More than just tracking damage cost, this exchange will allow you to bring in the cost for maintaining and repairing equipment through your mechanics’ work orders so that you can properly assign that cost to your job. In that same Exchange menu, the program will also allow you to bring in your fuel cost that is tracked by FuelerPlus.
If you should need any help updating HeavyJob to 2020.0.2, or if you need help setting up this feature, call our support – we are here to help. We would recommend having a conversation internally about how you want to handle the import – to save, will require assigning the cost to a cost code with an option to map it to a specific foreman.
