Imagine an environment free of VPNs or local servers, where every user can experience weekly updates without planning downtime, and all you need is an internet connection, your single sign-on credentials, and the website HeavyJob.com to access your job management application.
Beyond just the back-end upgrades of a web-based application environment, the features that have helped you forecast and make changes quickly to your job performance are in this system, and HeavyJob.com will only get better with time. Here are the top five ways HeavyJob.com is helping you prepare for the future of job management today.
1) Cloud Based Application
Our web team has been working collaboratively with you, our clients, to bring our 23 years of collective innovation from HeavyJob Desktop to live entirely on a web-based experience.
Everything, even the screens you’ve been using since 1998, has been built new. Not only will all the new cool stuff launch from here, but the web platform will also un-tether you from the upkeep that comes with providing your own local server. You will be using the most advanced cloud servers and storage speed available. Maintaining and performing updates will be handled in the background, and we update you with new features (instantly) when they are ready to release. Which, by the way, will happen more frequently. As always, our support team will have your back.
As we continue to help you eliminate the need for paper, increase communication between departments, and bring you easy-to-access reporting about your job performance, the web platform of HeavyJob will offer you something additional: the worry-free, cable-free, future-proof experience of HeavyJob from anywhere you have internet access.
2) HeavyJob Project Management consolidates all your project files, submittals, and RFIs into one place.
When the person in charge of your job goes on vacation or leaves the company, you can be left with the expensive task to find all their paperwork and correspondence, change orders, submittals, and emails from the owners. Then dividing those documents out based on each job is another time-consuming task. Project Management was designed to help you manage all of your job correspondence from cradle-to-grave so that there is no question or missing communication between project owners, project managers, and subcontractors. We have even made it possible to manage emails directly in each online job folder, so you do not have to separate the emails later.
Project Management is available with HeavyJob Manager subscriptions, and it is the first module you see when you log in. We will continue to build this system to make your lives easier – some of our latest additions include RFI tracking, submittals, Time and Material module, handling dig permits, email inbox, and easy customization. If you have access to HeavyJob.com, go try out our construction project management software, and call our support if you need guidance.
3) Forecasting on the Web
Forecasting is literally the science of predicting the future, so it would make sense to emphasize this feature on HeavyJob.com. In fact, many of our users required this to even consider using HeavyJob.com. Forecasting has been one of HeavyJob’s hallmark features for our power users, and for good reason: The forecast module lets you consider your current crew performance as it relates to the current budget, and make hypothetical and predictive analysis if slight changes are made so that you can either reach your goal or set better ones.
Log in to the Forecasting module on HeavyJob.com, and take a look around. It should feel familiar to you if you have used the desktop version. For those that are new to the system, let me show you how similar it is to the desktop version. Here is a tutorial circa 2016 that walks through the entire module on the desktop.
Forecasting module was also added recently to Project Management within HeavyJob.com. This should make it a convenient proposition to use. Whether you are a desktop and web users or just a HeavyJob.com only system, you have full access to the forecasting module. Again, it was built from the ground up, but it was based on all the needed functions of our desktop system. This is what the interface looks like on HeavyJob.com:
4) Access to Web Time Cards
If this past year has taught us anything, it is that to be able to work from anywhere is a huge advantage. Without having to create an IT plan to give users remote access to the servers, and purchase licenses from Microsoft, you can use HeavyJob.com to review your time cards.
You also have access to time card analysis and full reporting; the ability to approve, review and reject time cards; access your diaries, photos, materials, and trucking; and you have the powerful Time Card Adjustment and Quantity Adjustment tools.
5) Explore HeavyJob.com for yourself!
Now that I’ve mentioned it incessantly, I want you to be able to experience HeavyJob.com. We created a working demo environment of HeavyJob.com for you try out with data that you are welcome to change. The data set will reset every night, so feel free to explore the application and try things you wouldn’t normally. If you are already logged in, log out, and then click on the new “Explore” button.
This “Explore Now” option will give you a feel of the interface as it would function if you had set it up for your company. Informational cards will guide you through each new module that you open. Although the interface should be familiar to you, I recommend that you read them so that you can get the most of your time. Again, all that you’d need to do to preview this environment is go to HeavyJob.com and click on the “Explore Now” button.
If you need any help, call our support. We are available every day.
